How Much Sand And Cement For Shed Base
Get yourself a jumbo bag of concreting ballast from the builders merchants, weight approx 850kg of loaded by crane, this is more than you need, use some to blind out your base, then 6 ballast to 1 cement, you may only need 4 no bags of cement for a 6x7 base at 100mm thick.. Shed base dry sand and cement mix for 10 x 6 hi..know how to set base.whacker.set sqaure etc.....sand and cement dry mix and slabs but for 10 x 6 or 10 x 8 base what amount of sands required on 4 to 1 dry mix....sharp sand obviously...packed down level base to begin and then compact sand base then sand +cement and 40mm flags to top..just. The area is 2.3 meters wide and 2.4 meters deep. i was wondering how deep i should;d make the base (it will be used to support a metal pre-built shed), what mix of sand/cement to use (3:1 / 5:1 etc) and then how to work out the quantities of what i need to order. thanks in advance, pmartin..
